Calgary's Wedding Photographer

I have the sweetest couples, they make me feel welcome and wanted, I love what I do making people happy with memories to last a lifetime. Paul and I just celebrated 31 years of marriage on the 7th of October and if I could do it all over again I would do things different. Like my photographer, I would not just pick a friend to take my wedding photos, I would research and look for a real professional, one that would capture the way we feel about each other. Photography says alot of things and tells stories about people! When I look back at our wedding photos I don't cry, there is no mood, there is no feeling, we just stood there and did nothing! Todays photography is heart felt, tells a story, it's creative, romantic and it is something that you can look back on for years to come and say I did that on my wedding day, or that really happened! All the planning it takes for a wedding several months or maybe even a year all fly's by in a matter of hours and it's just a blur until you get your photos to remind you of your day and what happened through out that day!
Yes I cry at my weddings, and I joke about putting my camera on auto focus when I cry, because all the couple's who hire me I don't take them for granted, just because they are paying my bills and giving me a income, I care about them and most of my clients become long time friends and I love them just like family!
So if you are planning a wedding for this year or next year I welcome you to come and talk to me about your most important day of your life marriage! Don't hire a friend, hire a professional and then we become friends!

I Love photographing weddings in Inglewood, there is so much character, all the old buildings and the neat stuff you find in back lanes. There is so much to photograph with your couple and little time and I wanted to move them along so we could get to other spots before our time ran out.

Yes this bird had to get into the photo too! Real hot day we stopped at Starbucks and the manager was so nice brought us out muffins. We had the one and only drink and I just had to have Laura and Steward drinking while the rest of us were thirsty too! After this image we all drank what was left too!

It's really fun dancing in the street, trying to beat the on coming traffic at the lights. Most cases the cars just go by and honk their horn to the happy couple. In this case a officer came over and spoiled our fun so we had to move along. Normally I wait for the light and try to get in as much fun as the light will allow. Fun we did have.

The young couple that stole the show! Ring bearer and flower girl stole the show, they were so cute with the flower girl missing her front tooth she wasn't afraid to smile. And the ring bearer he loved to ham it up for the camera! Their wedding party was awesome with tons of smiles and helpful through out the day to the bride and groom.

Denise was a good one for expressions, she didn't leave anything out and I caught her over and over again with blowing me kisses to OH!!!

You can tell that Prince Charming loves his new wife as he was always gazing at her, he was so attentive and I loved it! Denise you are one lucky lady!

For the past year since I have know Denise, I have never seen her with make up but on her wedding day she was a beautiful bride and so playful, she kept me in stitches with her laughs and her expressions!

Cinderella met her man at a dance studio where she was learning to ballroom dance. Denise tells me she had on a hot red dress and was dancing on the floor when her shoe broke. Disappointed that she couldn't dance anymore she tried fixing her shoe but to no avail was she able to do it. Then along came her prince charming and offered to help fix her shoe! After he fixed her shoe they went dancing off into the sunset and at their wedding I had them all ballroom dancing! Cinderella has found her prince!

This fun loving couple were so much fun to be with. They kept me wanting to take more and more photos of the both of them. They called today just before heading to the airport for 12 fantastic days to Scotland to thank me for making their engagement session so easy and relaxing for them! Calgary Newborn Baby & Maternity Photography

The newest addition to the Miller family is this handsome little guy! So sweet and so tiny! I just love watching babies sleep, you wonder what they are thinking, they make such cute expressions on their faces. I had a wonderful time yesterday meeting this little guy for the first time and trying to photograph little peanut, he sure likes to wiggle. I would put him in one spot grab my camera and he would move. His mom and aunty were there to help with his photo first photo session. Yep I Got You Babe! I made mom cry when she saw the photos today, didn't want to do that! But how can you not help it when he is your first child! Yes I remember those days I used to cry too being a new mom. Well Mom Marla they grow up real quick with a mind of their own, enjoy while he is small and treasure every moment! Love Linda!

Ever notice that photographers do goofy things to make their clients smile, yea I know I am one of those photographers! I do the darnest things to get a smile sometimes, well here I am telling him that I am creeping closer to tickle him if he doesn't give me even a hint of a smile, and the top one I am telling him smile or I will come over and really tickle you for sure, but then if I did that how would I take him picture! Yea I know all talk and no action!

He was a great model and the time flew by quick, I still wanted to take them to more spots but we finished up and told him next time we will go to some more awesome spots! I want to thank his mom too for being such a good helper in lugging our gear around and keeping an eye on stuff while we were shooting and for holding the reflector for us. She did an amazing job for us.

On Sunday I had the opportunity to take my friend Shelley and her Model Brandon to down town Calgary and show her around some of the areas that I like to photograph in. I am not sure if Brandon is shy of the camera or not, he is a pretty serious young man. I was wondering what he thought about all this and having two photographers giving him directions as to whom to look at first. We tried to give him a relaxed session and just be himself. Well being him self is not smiling for the camera.

Yea I gotta love the top image with the heart, two hearts become one pretty soon! Heather doesn't like heights a gal after me, I don't like them either, but you have to admit she looks good on James shoulders! Peak around the tree with a kiss and James the man!

So Sad

This magnificent bird was down at our lake yesterday flying around looking for food. I was in the lake photographing an engagement session and he flew by us several times. Some fishermen had just caught some fish and he was eyeing up those fish. But what is sad is, is that this bird got tangled up in some fisherman's lines and now has it strapped around its poor leg. And what also is sad is that we can't do any thing about it.

Operation Homefront

PPOC Central Branch is participating once again this year in Operation Homefront, where we will be photographing 50 families this year! It is our way of giving back to the men and women who serve to keep us safe! We will be photographing them with their families and loved ones so that they can take the photo with them to have close to their hearts while they are away serving their country! God Bless them all and keep them safe!
